Vkontakte events are an indispensable tool in organizing and promoting both personal and business meetings. Many stars, famous brands, and public figures attract audiences to their significant events by creating separate pages for them, where they post the necessary information and advertising posts. How to create
A VK event is a type of community with some additional features. To create one, go to the "Communities" section and click the "Create a community" button. Select "Event" from the options offered. Then fill in the basic information:

Title. For convenience, you can write the format of the event and the city where it will be held in the title.
Type of meeting. There are two types: open and closed meeting. Anyone can join an open meeting, but only by invitation can join a closed meeting.
Subject. Selected from the list provided. After selecting the main subject, you need to define an additional, narrower one. For example, if a concert was chosen as the subject, you need to specify the genre of music.
Start time. You can specify the date and time of the meeting start, as well as its end.
Organizer details. You can add a personal profile or community, as well as specify the organizer's contacts.
After filling in all the information, you must click the "Create" button.

What to add to the event page


An empty community page is unlikely to attract an audience. To generate interest, you need to properly design the event.

Description

Additional information


By opening the necessary items in the "Settings" menu, you can add useful links, meeting participant data, important addresses to the page. You can also configure access to sections, stories, and comments.

Applications and widgets
In the settings, there is an option to connect applications and widgets that open up additional opportunities for participants. The following functions are available:

messages. With this widget, the user can send a message to the community. You can also set up a chat bot;
conversations in which users discuss topics of interest to them;
applications. There are many applications in the catalog depending on the goals pursued by the organizer (voting, autoresponder bot, etc.);
money transfers. Carried out via VK Pay, to set up you need to specify the recipient.
Discussions
You shouldn't neglect creating this section. It allows you to establish communication with the audience, answer pressing questions and get feedback.
